Description
Vintage c1940 Double Irish Chain Quilt measuring 74×78 inches. It is comprised of 49 blocks, 9.5 by 9.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 7, with 25 square blocks and 24 alternating blocks with appliquéd blue square corners. There is a blue and white triple border, 6 inches wide, with 9 patch cornerstones. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied blue bias tape binding.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with overall toning, spots, and storage discoloration. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
