Description
Antique c1870 Court House Steps Quilt measuring 90 by 90 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 13 1/2 by 12 inches, set straight, 6 by 7 with 1.25 inch squares quercitron yellow print vertical sashing and 1.25 inch overdyed green print horizontal sashing. It is hand pieced and hand quilted in a Baptist fan motif. There is thin cotton batting and a brown floral print stripe reverse. The edge is finished with a Turkey red print fabric binding. There is a sleeve on the reverse for hanging.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with several scattered spots and the black dye in the madder print is starting to pop. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
