Description
Antique c1900 Wool and Velvet Plushwork Crib Quilt measuring 46 by 47 inches. It is comprised of 36 blocks, 6.5 by 6.5 inches, set straight, 6 by 6. The color placement of the background fabric creates a medallion aesthetic. Each of the seams are hand embroidered to a finished edge. There is a 4 inch border consisting with a triple layer of clamshell shapes with hand embroidered edges all around. There is no batting, but there is a cotton sateen reverse, hand applied to the front. It is not quilted. These pieces typically come from Pennsylvania and are quite collectible pieces of folk art.In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
