Description
Vintage 1940 SunBonnet Girl Quilt measuring 67 by 79 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 10 by 10 inches, set straight, 4 by 5. There is a 3 inch pink sashing with white cornerstones, a 4.5 inch pink inner border and a 3 inch white outer border. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a soft white flannel reverse. The edge is finished with a pink solid binding, by hand. It is in fair condition with edge wear along the top binding, minor fading, spots, and other discolorations. Note the hand embroidered details are very fine including the little curls under the bonnet and the petticoat ruffle on the bottom of the dress. This quilt is from the Labencki family from Three Rivers, Michigan. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
