Description
Antique c1900 Bow Tie Quilt measuring 67 by 74 inches. It is comprised of 120 squares, 5 by 5 inches, with 60 pieced Bow Tie blocks and 60 alternating pink print squares. They are set straight, 10 by 12. There is a 1.5 inch red inner border and a 5.5 inch pink print outer border. There is thin cotton batting and a soft white flannel reverse. The edge is finished with a red print fabric. This quilt may have been finished later than the 1900s, I believe the binding is contemporary, 1980s. There are hand embroidered initials on the reverse, WC. It is in good condition with just a few small discolorations. This quilt is from the Labencki family from Three Rivers, Michigan.
