Description
Multigenerational c1900 T Quilt measuring 64 by 81 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with 3 inch pink sashing and blue pin dot on white fabric cornerstones. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There feels like there is a poly cotton batting, with a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. It is in good condition with just a few small spots and discolorations. There is a label on the reverse indicating that the quilt top was from the early 1900s by Elizabeth (Freehahn) Correll 1848 to 1917. Quilted by granddaughter in 1996 Mildred Correll Labencki 1920- , Three Rivers Michigan. Several of the fabrics in the quilt top are earlier, like the indigo, double green, clarets, and a fugitive purple. This quilt is from the Labencki family from Three Rivers, Michigan.
