Description
Antique c1870 Tumbling Blocks Charm Quilt measuring 74 by 85 inches. The quilt is comprised of diamonds approximately 3.25 inches along one side in a variety of over dyed greens, double pinks, brown prints, cheddar, Lancaster blues, Centennial greens, Dolly Varden prints, early purples, shirtings and much more. Several fabrics are earlier including the Prussian blue print. We were unable to find 2 of the same prints making this a charm quilt (not including the white diamonds), 450 different printed fabrics. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied narrow white binding. It is in good condition with just a few small spots.
