Description
Includes a c1940 Dresden Plate Quilt measuring 71×92″. The 20 Dresden Plates are appliqued onto the white ground which is in 2 pieces, seamed down the middle. There is a scrappy appliqued border. It is machine pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, by machine. It is in poor condition with over spots, dark spots, toning, fading, and edge wear. Along with a child’s hand embroidered quit, c1930, measuring 38 by 57 inches. There are 24 blocks with 12 hand embroidered in green stitching with juvenile motifs and the other half with alternating solid white with quilted stars. It is sashed and bordered in green fabric. There is thin cotton batting and an off white reverse with some sugar sacks. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. It is in poor condition with storage discoloration, large spots and marks. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
