Description
Antique 1922 Redwork Quilt measuring 81 by 78 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 16 1/2 by 15 1/2, set straight, 4 by 4, with an 8 inch scalloped edge border. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by machine. It is hand embroidered, machine pieced, and hand quilted. The red work designs feature figures, dogs, birds, horses, a cross, and a block with the initials MMS and the date 1922. It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, and age discoloration. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
