Description
Antique c1890 Rocky Road to Kansas Quilt measuring 72×78″. It is comprised of 25 blocks, 12 by 15 inches, set straight, 5 by 5 with a 2.5 inch wool brown print border. The same brown wool print is used in the setting diamonds. It is hand pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown woven ribbed fabric reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back and applied by hand. The quilt uses a variety of fabrics including cotton, wool, velvet, and more. It is in fair condition with some fabric deterioration, small holes, and in need of some seam repairs. From an Alexandria, VA collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
