Description
Antique c1900 Rocky Road to Kansas Quilt measuring 72×88″. Comprised of 12 blocks, 17.5 by 17.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with an 8 inch terra-cotta solid border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is thick cotton batting and a pale blue solid reverse. Solid fabrics may be home dyed. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back and applied by hand. It is in poor condition with fade line discoloration, scattered spots, and small holes. But the use of advertising feed sacks is quite interesting. I believe the quilt to be Southern in origin. From an Alexandria, VA collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
