Description
Antique c1880 Courthouse Steps Quilt measuring 67 by 82 inches. It is comprised of 36 blocks, 9 1/2 by 11 inches, set straight, 6 by 6, with a 4.5 inch triple strip border with double green print and a pieced brown stripe with brown solid parallelogram pieces. It is an hand pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown stripe print reverse. The edge is finished with an applied orange print binding, by hand. It is in fair condition with small spots, edge wear, a small hole, splits in the reverse fabric, and the purple print is starting to go fugitive.
