Description
Antique c1880 4 Patch Strippy or Bars Arrangement Quilt measuring 76 x 84 inches. There are 9 3.5″ wide pieced bars with 4 patch blocks and alternating squares, set with 8 alternating 3.5″ double pink bars. There is a 2 inch dogtooth inner border with double pink print and brown print and a 5.5 inch double pink outer border. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. There is a wool batting and a brown print reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with only a small discoloration by a border noted. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
