Vintage and Antique Faux Patchwork Fabrics. The group includes 5 pieces of both vintage and antique faux patchwork/ cheater prints. Featuring 1 piece in a star patchwork design depicting scenes from Gilbert and Sullivan’s “HMS Pinafore”. It measures 30” x 1 yard 9”. This piece may be antique or possibly reproduction, we were unable to determine. 1 small fragment of antique 19th century glazed cotton in a hexagonal faux patchwork pattern with flowers and paisleys. It measures 7.5” by 17” and is in poor condition with many holes and fold line damage. 1 vintage c1940 faux basket patchwork fragment measuring 11” x 36”. In fair condition with light toning to the white ground. 1 large piece of Reproduction Centennial printed faux patchwork cotton chintz measuring 37” x 45”. In good condition with slight toning. 1 vintage c1970 brightly colored faux star patchwork cotton fabric measuring 1 yard 13” by 36”. In good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
