2 19th Century Quilt Tops includes a c1870 Mosaic #17 quilt top with half square triangles measuring 64 x 91 inches. It is hand pieced. And in fair condition with many large spots and discolorations. Great variety of madder prints! Along with a Half Square Triangles quilt top c1895, measuring 46 x 48 inches. It is hand pieced. It is in good condition with a few small spots. Both textiles are just quilt tops with no batting, backing, or quilting. Both quilt tops were published in “Vintage Quilts” co-authored by Bobbie Aug page 181 and 182. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
