2 Early 20th Century Quilt Tops includes a c1900 Double Nine Patch quilt top measuring 70 x 88 inches. It is machine pieced. The blocks may be earlier than the sashing sandboarders. In good condition with just a few small spots. Along with an c1920 4 Patch Quilt Top in a Vertical Bars arrangement, measuring 81 x 88 inches. It is machine pieced. It is in good condition with a few small spots. Both textiles are just quilt tops with no batting, backing, or quilting. Both quilt tops were published in “Vintage Quilts” co-authored by Bobbie Aug page 180 and 184. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
