Description
Vintage c1940 Crossed Tulips Quilt measuring 72 x 76 inches. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 14 x 15 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with a 6 inch triple sashing of pink, yellow, and pink; and red cornerstones with 6 pointed pink and yellow stars. There is a triple border with 2 inch yellow, followed by 2.5 inch pink, followed by 4 inch red border. There is a thin cotton batting and a red solid reverse. The quilt is finished with an applied pink binding. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. It is in good condition with several small spots and some fading and the green fabrics.
