Description
Vintage c1940 Blair OK Friendship Quilt measuring 69 by 86 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 12 by 12 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 3.5 inch solid red sashing and green cornerstones. It is hand pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thick cotton batting and a pale green reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. The center of each block is a hand embroidered name some simply Hattie, Gladys, and Clara. One block states Alice Wilson Blair Okla. Other names include Lila Bennett, Wilbur Don, Bonnie Dennis, Mrs. JP Thompson, Mrs. Estelle W Grubba, Effie Roberts, Annie Hakett, Florence Haddon, Sallie Howell, Estalee Stanwalt, and more.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, edge wear, and a small hole. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
