Description
Antique 1837 Jacob Garat of Northumberland County, PA Figured and Fancy Coverlet, measures 77 by 89 inches. The center field is densely filled with double roses, stars and other geometric motifs. There is an inner border with birds and trees, and an outer border of double stars. The coverlet is signed Jacob Garat, TT and MDE, 1837. The initials most likely belong to whom the coverlet was made for or owned by. There is a hand stitched seam down the center.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, missing fringe on all 4 sides, minor thread wear, and minor wear along the edges. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
