Description
Antique c1890 9 Patch Quilt in Strippy or Bars Arrangement measuring 80 by 92 inches. It is comprised of 24 9 patch blocks, 11.5 by 11.5 inches, set straight in 4 bars with 6 blocks. The bars are separated by 6 inch cheater print or simulated patchwork print bars with a tumbling blocks motif. There is a 7.5 inch over dyed green vertical border and an 8.5 and 10.5 inch over dyed green horizontal border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a wonderful Garibaldi red and black print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. There is a sleeve on the reverse along one side for hanging.
Condition report:
It is in very good condition with only minor imperfections. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
