Description
Vintage c1940 Pinwheel Variation Quilt with a very unique design. It measures 78 by 80 inches. It is comprised of 12 complete blocks, 12.5×12.5″, set on point and staggered, 2 by 5 with 3/4 blocks, setting the field. There is an 8.5″ border with blue bias tape in a double row, echoing the unusual shape of the field. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. This unusual secondary design of the pinwheels is created with each block consisting of a blue and white triangle and blue and white trapezoid shapes in each corner of the square on point block.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with storage discoloration and water marks. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
