Description
Vintage 1940 Scherenschnitte Snowflake Quilt measuring 85×90″. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 23.5 by 24.5 inches, set straight 3 by 3, with a 5.5 inch green border along the sides and an 8 inch green border along the top and bottom. Color placement alternates with every other block creating a positive negative effect. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green bias tape binding.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with a few small spots, the pencil lines for the quilting are evident, and storage line discoloration. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
