Description
Included is a Victorian era antique dress. It has short sleeves and a black lace overlay which is machine made. There are black sequined and paisleys made from ruffles along the bust and the skirt of the dress. The skirt is decorated with a design of flowers and paisleys. Under the dress, there is a cream silk layer with most of it shedding due to its age. There is no knowing how far down the silk was on the dress as pieces shed from light touching. The waist is cinched and emphasized with a belt of black sequins. There are hook and eye fasteners for the skirt to attach to the bodice and more along the side of the bodice. The sleeves are very fragile with holes under the arms and loose sequins. Hook and eye closures are along the back of the bodice. It is a generally fragile Victorian dress which would be good for historical research. A large hole along the skirt. Laid flat: Length: 56″, Shoulders: 15″, Bust: 16″, and Waist: 12″. This was part of a NYC Archival Collection of Textiles for reproduction and inspiration purposes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
