Worked in three layers of reverse appliqué with appliqué and embroidery accents on a maroon ground. Narrative composition depicting two large stylized birds flanking a central structure, their curved beaks nearly meeting at the top. A smaller animal at center between them, and a decorative vessel anchors the lower register. The birds’ bodies are densely filled with polychrome chevron embroidery in multiple colors, while their tails terminate in large leaf forms with appliquéd vein details in green, blue, and brown. Scattered polychrome triangle motifs in yellow, green, blue, orange, pink, and white fill the surrounding ground. Exceptionally fine hand-stitching and elaborate embroidery throughout.
