Description
Antique c1880 Elongated Hexagon Quilt measuring 82 by 81 inches. It is comprised of elongated hexagons measuring 2.5 along their short side and about 5 inches along alongside. They are set on point and staggered with a 5 inch madder print border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a blue and white woven stripe cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. Very organized but scrappy quilt.
