Description
Vintage c1960 Tree of Life Quilt reproduced from a 1939 Tree of Life Quilt pattern by Lorraine Pine Eisfeller. This quilt was made by Genevieve Odom of Fayette County, PA. It measures 88 by 90 inches. Medallion style quilt with a tree of life appliqué motif in the center about 54 by 60 inches. It is followed by a 3 inch blue Foral frame, a 6.5 inch red flower and vine frame, a 3.5″ blue floral appliqué frame, and a 3 inch plain white outer border. Each frame is separated by 1/4 of an inch blue appliqué bias tape. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin polyester batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. The appliqué pieces are primitively shaped.
