Description
Vintage c1940 Whig Rose Quilt by Genevieve Odom of Fayette County, PA. The quilt measures 75 by 74 inches. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 20 by 20 inches, set straight 3 by 3, with a 6 inch appliqué border with an undulating vine, leaf, flower and bud along all 4 sides. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding.
