Description
Vintage c1950 Dresden Plate Quilt measuring 75 by 89 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 16 by 16 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with a 2.5 inch red inner border and a 2.5 inch white outer border. Each block corner has to appliquéd plate blades on each corner creating smaller platelike motifs at each intersection. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a pink, possibly faded red, applied binding.
