Description
2 Vintage c1930 Quilts includes a Scrappy feed sack diamond quilt measuring 66 by 80 inches. Some of the diamonds shapes are a single feed sack print, others are pieced. There is a 2 inch red with white polka dot border along 2 sides. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Thick cotton batting and a variety of feedsack on the reverse. Is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by machine. Southern quilt believed to have survived hurricane Ivan. Along with a 1930s reversible whole cloth quilts, white on one side and light blue on the other, hand quilted in blue thread, and a medallion style with feather wreaths, vines, swags, flowers and a crosshatch ground. It measures 76 by 80 inches. There are blue and white prairie points along 2 edges, one edge is knife edge style finished, and the last edge is raw. This quilt was collected in Texas.
Condition report:
Both quilts are in poor condition. The Feedsack quilt has spots, small holes, edge wear, fading. The Puppy Dog Quilt has fading, loss to embroidery, several holes, fabric splits and deterioration. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
