Description
1895 Ladies Endeavor Congregational Church Signature Quilt from Wisconsin. Measures 75×78″. It is comprised of 36 blocks, 12.5×13″, set straight, 6 by 6. Each block is hand embroidered with an 8 petal flower design with a name in the center, and 4 names in each petal, all in red embroidery floss. Over 1,188 name inscriptions! The date February 1895 in included in Josephine Buss’ block. And the Ladies Endeavor for the Congregational Church of Endeavor (Wisconsin) is another block. It machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thick cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied off white binding. It is in fair condition with storage line discolorations, spots, small hole, and a repair. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
