Description
Tree of Life Quilt measures 87×95″. One of Ellen’s nicest quilts in my opinion! The center is a Yoko Saito design, renowned Japanese quilt artist. Ellen uses this contemporary motif in a reproduction style medallion quilt with many motifs we will see repeated in her quilts in this auction: the applique chain border, lots of appliqued perfect circles, applique birds, the dog tooth frame, floral applique border, swag border…this quilt has it all! And many 19th century reproduction fabrics. The quilt is machine pieced, hand and machine appliqued, hand embroidered, and machine quilted. Ellen’s initials are appliqued at the top, and the year 2010 at the bottom. The quilt is in excellent condition with excellent workmanship. The quilt is signed and dated by Ellen Rosenbach on a label on the reverse. Please see the About This Auction for her story! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
