Description
Two Male South Asian Sarees. The lot consists of two male South Asian sarees. Featured are two male South Asian sarees with one in gold and green and the other in red plaid with paisleys and floral motifs in gold thread. The red plaid saree consists of a plaid pattern that is primarily in shades of red with green and white accents as well. The paisleys and floral motifs are in gold and they are more centered on the center of the saree rather than the edges. The fabric is sheer and along the edges there is purposeful fraying that adds to the design. Because of the weave of the fabric, there are a few small holes along the body but it is otherwise in good condition. The gold and green saree that is included us a piece of beauty with its silk weave and green borders. The borders of the saree have streaks of blue in them and as the green reaches out to the gold, points ends in spikes. At the end of the fabric are knotted blue thread that are the same color as those that streak through the green. It is in good condition. Both pieces have significant yardage.
