Description
Antique c1860 Red and Green Flower Quilt, is pieced, not appliqued. It measures 87 by 89 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 17 by 17 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 4 inch solid white border and a 6.5 inch yellow, red, green, white quadruple outer border. It is hand pieced and densely hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse the edge is finished with an applied solid green fabric binding. It is in fair condition with a hole, edge wear, fading, other small discolorations, and the Turkey red fabric is starting to abrade. Another very unique block, masterfully executed, with really beautiful quilting. And the Turkey red fabric is starting to abrade. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
