Description
Antique early 19th-century hand-colored fan featuring a paper leaf with three oval medallions depicting 18th-century courting couples. The ground is adorned with blue, red, and green horizontal rows with stenciled gold stars. The fan includes carved bone ribs and guards, showcasing root-like patterns, and a silver-tone rivet and loop. Measures 20″ x 10.5″ and is in fair condition, with toning, wear, slits along folding junctions, and a small crack on one guard. Please see the photos for details.
