Description
Antique Asian paper folding fan with detailed, double-sided hand-painted landscapes, figures with applied silk robes and hand painted bone faces. Features black lacquered wood guards and ribs with gold tone painted accents and a green knotted cord with pink and purple silk tassels. The fan shows wear on the guards and ribs, with some tears on folds, and areas where paper is lifting at the folding junctions. Dimensions measure 11 in x 20 1/2 in. Includes a hinged decorative black lacquered wooden box with intricate hand painted details. Both the fan and the storage box have general age related wear. Please see the photos for details.
