Description
Antique hat is constructed from black taffeta with a broad brim. Black fringe circles the top of the brim, adding ornate detailing, while a black and bronze “wheat” decoration accents the crown. A medallion featuring black and gold velvet ribbon provides a striking embellishment. The interior is lined with black silk, maintaining its elegant structure. Approx. 23 1/2 inches. In good condition, showing slight areas of wear or discoloration on the brim and underside of the brim. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
