Description
This restored 1880s navy blue velvet cap showcases the intricate artistry of the late 1880s. The navy blue velvet cap is accented with brown velvet ribbon ties and features a dramatic dark brown ostrich plume and standing bow with black glass bead and spangled accents. Cream and black accents in shirting and floral patterns add texture and contrast to its design. It is in fair condition with uneven slight fading to the navy blue velvet and fading to the thread in the beaded areas. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
