Description
An antique black horsehair and wire frame hat accented with two striking black ‘birdwing’ decorations. Black, beige, and camel-colored taffeta ribbon weaves through the design, with detailed embellishments from two hat pins €”one long with a black glass head and a shorter one with decorative mother-of-pearl. The antique perching hat has some visible age-related wear on the top and a slightly exposed frame through the lining. In good condition. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details.
