Description
Antique c1880 Birds in the Air Quilt in a 9 Patch Arrangment believed to be from TN. It measures 68 by 87 inches. Comprised of 20 blocks, 12 by 12 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 3.5″ solid brown fabric sashing and pieced block cornerstones. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in fair condition with overall toning, and spots. Wonderful great variety of scrappy fabrics including shirting, aldehyde green, madder prints, brown varieties, early purple, and more. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
