Description
Vintage Bicentennial Comfort Quilt with a center Eagle similar to that on the Great Seal. It measures 92 by 105 inches. And a bars arrangement there is a 40 inch white center bar by 68 inches. With a gold eagle holding Laurel leaf and arrows, and banners above and below, with the dates 1976 and 1776. There are gold borders above and below it. It is flanked by a 5 inch solid blue bar with white appliquéd stars and a 21.5 inch gold bar on each side. It is hand and machine appliquéd, hand embroidered, hand painted, machine pieced, and hand tied. There is a thin cotton batting and a pieced reverse in gold and blue solid fabric. The edge is finished knife edge style, by machine. It is in good condition with just a few small spots. The batting is centered in the quilt and does not extend to all 4 edges. Really nice workmanship on the center block! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
