Description
Vintage 1940s Sailboat Quilt with hand embroidered Signatures or name inscriptions. It measures 72 by 83 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 8.5 by 8.5 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with 3.5″ solid blue stashing, white cornerstones. There is a 2.25 inch white inner border and a 2.5 inch blue outer border. It is hand pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted in a Baptist fan overall motif. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with and applied solid blue fabric binding. It is in good condition with just only very small spots. We are unable to determine the geographical location of the quilt. Each sailboat is hand embroidered with a name: Mildred Smith, June Bly, Mother, Iris Wallace and many more. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
