Description
Antique c1850 Irish Chain Quilt measuring 102 by 102 inches. It is comprised of 49 squares, 14 by 14 inches, set straight, 7 by 7, with 25 checkerboard blocks and 24 white alternating blocks with appliquéd green square corners. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted there is a 3 inch dogtooth border. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in good condition with a few small spots, discolorations, and a couple of tiny holes or worn areas. Really nice consistent use of the Turkey red prints and over dyed green solid. The Turkey red print is intact. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
