Description
Antique c1860 Monkey Wrench Quilt measuring 87 by 101 inches. It is comprised of 56 blocks, 6 by 6 inches, set straight, 7 by 8. There is a 4 inch double pink print sashing (Our apologies it looks purple in some photos, it is double pink), and a 2 inch dogtooth border on the top and bottom in yellow and pink prints, with an 11.5 inch teal blue print outer border. It is hand pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown print reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back, applied by hand. Other fabrics include madder prints, Turkey red prints, and more. It is in good condition with small spots, moisture discoloration, and other small discolorations. All fabric is intact.
