Description
Antique c1880 Union Quilt measuring 76 by 77 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 14.5 by 14.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with 3.5 inch colorful shirting print sashing and border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown print reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with several dark discolorations. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
