Description
2 Vintage Floral Applique Quilts. Includes a four-element tulip variation set 4 x 4, with a center medallion and swag drape border, with red, blue, and black small print fabrics hand applied to a pale yellow cotton quilt with a red with black print reverse and pink print binding, hand quilted with thin cotton batting, measuring 72″ x 78″, in fair condition with heavy fading and wear, thread loss to quilting and several small holes. Also includes a broderie perse floral bouquet basket applique quilt with pink flowers in a pale green basket in the center and sprays of flowers at each corner, hand appliqued and hand quilted on white cotton with a white cotton reverse, thin cotton batting, with a scalloped border with pale green edging. Measures 74″ x 95″. In fair condition with fading to the green, stains and discoloration. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
