2 Vintage c1930s Floral Applique Quilts. Includes a California Rose variation applique quilt with a large four-element center floral design in red and green on white cotton with a white cotton backing and thin cotton batting, hand appliqued and hand quilted, measuring 82″ x 82″, in fair condition with heavy fading to red and green, one red flower replaced, several stains and storage discoloration. Also includes a Rare Old Tulip applique quilt, with applique tulip blocks alternating with white cotton quilted wreath blocks, tulips and border consist of a yellow and red print along with red and white print for the flowers and the edging, it is hand appliqued, hand pieced and hand quilted with thin cotton batting and white cotton reverse, measuring 74″ x 77″. in poor condition with heavy staining, especially on the reverse, the green leaves have lost almost all of their color and there are many stains and holes. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
