Description
Pair of Late 19th Century Black Wool Skirts. The group includes 2 late 19th century skirts featuring 1 black wool skirt with applied black wool pointed striping with black silk covered button accents. The skirt has a double hook and eye closure at the back and is unlined. Laying flat it measures: waist 15”, front length: 39.5”, back length 44”. It is in good/fair condition with wear to the silk covered button accents and 1 missing applied wool stripe. Also included is 1 black wool skirt featuring a cut out black embroidered silk trim band at calf height and 3 pickups at the bottom hem. The skirt has been sized down and has a back hook and eye closure. It is unlined and has a velvet inner hem. It features a stamped gold makes mark stating “Ready for use,Unspotable, Shrunk, Priestley’s Make”. Laying flat the skirt measures: waist 13”, front length: 39”, back length 46”. It is in fair condition with slight fading to the silk appliqued band and several small holes. Please see the photos. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
