Description
c1820 Pheasant Palm Tree Chintz Quilt Top measuring n71 x 90 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, 16x 16.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with 2.5 inch solid teal sashing and 9 inch border. It is hand pieced, and hand appliquéd. It is just a top with no backing, batting, or quilting. It is in poor and fragile condition with overall toning, dark discolorations, many of the appliqués portions are lifting up, and fabric deterioration to the chintz. The sashing and borders may have been added to the quilt blocks later in the 19th century. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
