Description
Vintage c1950 Lone Star Quilt measuring 67×83″. The large center star uses a different fabric for each diamond level. There is a 2.5 inch pieced zigzag vertical borders followed by a 5 1/2 inch pieced 8 pointed star vertical border followed by and 2.5 inch pieced zig zag outer border. It is hand pieced and machine quilted. I believe the machine quilting is to the period. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. It is good condition with a few small spots and one minor wear area. From an Alexandria, VA collector.
