Description
Vintage c1940 American Beauty Rose Kit Quilt, measuring 73 by 88 inches. Pale pink ground with 2 bouquets of pink roses and rosebuds are tied in gray ribbon and create an oval ring in the center of the quilt. Additional roses and buds are appliquéd onto the corners and the center of each border. It is hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a pale pink cotton reverse. Three edges are scalloped and finished with an applied pink binding. It is in fair condition with a few small spots, wear to a branch, and a small hole,.
